B11 Carhartt Men’s Washed Duck Work Dungaree Review
A pleasant surprise
For my birthday a close family friend of mine sent me a package. It showed up in a box from a place called newyorkworkwear.com. The package was an ordinary wrapped, fed ex box with my address and name on a sticker on the top of the box. I wasn’t entirely sure what the contents of the box contained, so i decided to bring it in to my apartment.
I opened the box up and inside of it was a pair of pants. Not any ordinary pants though, these pants looked different. They also felt different, as i lifted them out of the box i could feel how durable they were. There was a note taped to the pair of pants, it read:
“Hello, Happy birthday, this year i decided to get you something practical. Something that every man needs. A pair of Carhartt Men’s Washed Duck Work Dungaree’s. You should find these comfortable, and durable. Best Wishes.”
I was unfamiliar with the brand Carhartt, and i wasn’t sure If i was crazy about the idea of wearing these pants. I decided to try them on though, they were in a Dark Brown color, i was impressed that he remembered my favorite color. At least that’s the assumption i made when i saw that they were brown.
He even got the size right, a 36 waist and 32 length. I decided to put them on, and take a picture to send to him. That way he could see that i appreciated them even if i didn’t.
As i pulled them up they fit great, they felt good, and best of all they looked really good on me. I was honestly surprised by how comfortable the Men’s Washed Duck Work Dungaree’s fit. They fit right below my natural waist, which was how i usually wore my pants.
I looked in the mirror and saw something i hadn’t seen when i first picked the Duck Work Dungaree’s out of the box, they had multiple pockets on both legs for easy accessibility to any items that i would wish to carry through my day.
I decided to see how the pants looked over a pair of sneakers, and to my surprise they complimented each other well.
I was truly and genuinely happy that someone thought of me to this degree and purchased me something of this caliber for my birthday.
He left the price-tag on the pants and they weren’t very expensive at only $37.99.
