Since 1949 one of the most popular fashion magazine’s on the market has been Burda World of Fashion. Burda excels and is known through the world for being the King of all fashion media.
Burda is a European periodical, so it’s no wonder why it’s one of the most sought after magazines in the fashion worlds. Not to mention highly respected.

Burda World of fashion is a German based magazine and the sizes are actually accurate to the measurements they give. The one thing that is great and makes them different is how they include the 5/8 seam allowances.
Inside the middle of the magazine is a sheet full of patterns that you can trace onto parchment paper and use for your own designs.
This isn’t a magazine, it’s a guide.
This is another thing I’ve discovered about Burda World of Fashion’s magazine, if you get a hold of their customer service, they not only get a hold of you very quickly, they will offer to send you 1 of their issues free before you commit to the subscription.
I have found that there are about 40 different patterns in every single issue of Burda World of Fashion magazine. For a total of 480 patterns a year.
The subscription only cost’s $80.00 a year on amazon.com
That’s only $6.66 an issue.
If you really think about it you probably spend more money on patterns a month, then a years subscription of Burda World of Fashion.
The only serious complaint i can make about the Burda World of Fashion magazine is that it’s not written for beginner seamstress’s. The instructions leave a lot of room for educated assumption. If someone isn’t familiar with sewing it might be great to learn, from and use the patterns but you might have difficulty with some of the steps.
I’m sure you could get a hold of the customer service department, and have some of your questions answered regarding the piece you’re working on.
Overall though for the price, and the quality of the magazine Burda World of Fashion is definitely worth looking into.
