InStyle (1-year) [MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION] Review

For the daughters

My daughter is currently in the transition from tweens to teen and I don’t like to control the kind of media she listens to, reads, or watches. I do, however, like to help her out in transitioning as easily as possible. I still remember how difficult the transition was when i was growing up.

She, as in my daughter has always been interested in magazines. I remember a few years ago purchasing her a subscription to Tiger beat, teen beat and she absolutely loved it.

As she grows up though she becomes less interested in these forms of media, which is completely understandable. She mentioned to me that she wanted to get a different kind of magazine subscription, but i was weary of what was acceptable for girl’s her age.

A friend of mine who was facing a similar dilemma recommended the magazine “InStyle”. He said his daughter had been reading it for years and it was one of her favorite magazines.

InStyle (1-year) [MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION]

He told me that for transitioning it was perfect because it introduces fashion, and popular products in the marketplace today. This recommendation sounded perfect for what i was looking for.

When i sat her down to talk about Instyle, she said she was already familiar with but she had never actually taken the time to read through it. As a father we’re always looking for ways to gain our childrens approval, not to mention be a part of their lives.

I decided to research it further because i don’t like jumping into things blind. I found that the best place to order the 1 year subscription was amazon.com

It was very affordable as well, at only $23.88 for a years subscription.

I placed the order on amazon and the next step was waiting for the first one to show up at my doorstep. The wait was pretty long, it took 7 weeks from time of purchase to receive the latest copy of Instyle. I was familiar with this process though from previous subscriptions i had placed in the past. So it didn’t bother me very much.

When it the first issue of Instyle showed up i flipped through the pages to see what it had to offer my daughter. I was still a bit paranoid.

Oddly enough, i found it very useful. I recommended a Neutrogena concealer advertised in the magazine, that she later purchased.

It actually worked!

She ended up being very grateful, and i felt good, knowing that i was doing the little bit i could to help her into adulthood.

I know that she is going to grow up to be an educated woman, but because of Instyle i know that she will be fashion friendly as well.

I sleep well at night knowing that my daughter reads Instyle, and I took the chance on giving her the only information i know about the female transition.

One that is written by another female.
