Hated it at first, but you can’t judge a book by its cover.

For Christmas this year i got something that i wasn’t really interested in. One of my girlfriends relatives bought it for me and i just wasn’t very responsive. I just didn’t understand why someone would get me something of this caliber.

The relative told me that he thought it would be perfect for me to take into the office, because he had heard that i was cold all the time. Yes, it’s true i do get cold in my office but i wasn’t necessarily that concerned about it. A gift, is a gift though and I promised him that i would use it starting Monday morning.

What he bought me was the Lasko Ceramic Heater with Adjustable Thermostat. The heater was only 10 inches tall, so i couldn’t imagine that it would be able to do all that much.

This is why i was so discouraged.

I opened the box that it came in, and I couldn’t imagine something so small even making a slight impact on my cold office. My office wasn’t large by any means but it still required a lot in order to keep it warm.

Well, Monday came and I decided to give the Lasko Ceramic Heater with Thermostat a shot. I brought it into my office, and placed in on top of my desk because of the size it fit there perfectly. I was actually shocked at how well it looked sitting there next to my computer speakers.

Looks aside, i was worried about how much heat this little guy could produce. More than just how much heat, but if it was able to disperse the heat evenly through out my office. This is when i decided to turn it on.

The thermostat was very easy to use with a small knob that started at low, and went up to high. It also had a 1500-watt setting, as well as a 900-watt setting. I decided to use the 1500-watt setting because first impressions were going to make or break if i was keeping this item or giving it to my secretary.

When i first turned it on, i could feel a little burst of heat come flying out of its face. It was very quiet while it ran, and i decided to give it 5 minutes on its own. I cranked it up to the high setting and walked out of my office closing the door behind me.

I came back opened the door and to my surprise it was considerably warmer. The entire office felt more comfortable, and I was pleased. It only took the Lasko Ceramic Heater 5 minutes to heat my office up to a temperature that i could handle.

I looked online to see how much my girlfriends relative spent, and he only spent $19.99
