Living in New York City, there is a lot of outside noise. There are always people yelling, cars honking, and trains in commotion/motion. It gets annoying, and distracting really fast. Even when i put my Ipod on full blast i can still manage to hear other peoples conversations. I mean this is great if you’re writing a book about the random tid-bits you hear walking down 6th avenue.

I, however, am not writing a book, I’m just trying to get to work without a headache.

I’m sure you can all relate to wanting to drown out noise around you, especially when you’re listening to music. I like to be in my own little world, and forget about the stresses that come with life. I’m not a therapist, and i don’t want to hear about random peoples problems.

This got so bad, that i finally looked for a solution. I always saw these people with big headphones over their hoods, listening to their Ipods, and mp3 players. For the most part they all had big smiles on their faces, and looked like they were in their own little world.

I envied them, the way they could travel with ease and enjoy their music. I decided to look into these big headphones, they must have some sort of effect on my situation.

It couldn’t just be coincidence.

I looked on amazon.com and found the Travelon Comfort Zone Noise-Reducing Headphones. I just looked at them, they looked a little obtrusive at first.

I started reading the product details and got excited when I came to the part that simply read:

This is exactly what i was looking for. It was as if someone knew, and sent me this link saying “Hey, these are for you”. I researched them a little more. They not only reduced outside noise but improved the internal noise projected from Ipods, and MP3 devices.

They were comfortable too, with padded ear-cups and a head-set.

To get rid of the excess chord they had a collar clip, so you could maintain the chord from going everywhere.

This was sounding to good to be true.

I decided to give them a shot.

Let me tell you, my whole day has changed because of these. I now walk through the streets of Manhattan comfortably, in my own little world. I’ve become more productive at work, and less irritable.

I would spent it for the peace of mind they give me.
